The Canadian Bureau for International Education (CBIE) recently made its final selection of institutions that will form part of the mission for the project ‘Emerging Leaders in Latin America and the Caribbean’. A total of 34 academic institutions will be participating in this project from 21 countries in the Americas.  The project is an effort to promote the concept of inclusion and equal participation among the different countries. The organizers have already established institutional contacts with individual participants- this is to ensure that all the necessary procedures are completed.

During the collaboration mission, selected persons will have the opportunity to visit Toronto, Winnipeg, Edmonton and Vancouver. The “winners” will also have an opportunity to visit various universities and government authorities. In a nutshell, this provides the basic background for the creation of collaboration agreements, namely those that promote the mobility of the “leaders”, that is, individuals whom shall have access to the 1,600 grants provided by the Canadian government.

The mission will begin with the CBIE Conference, which will be held on November 9-10 in Toronto, Canada.  The theme of the conference is the “The Effectiveness of Internationalization: Strategies for Success”. Please visit the website of the event for more information.

Both the Secretary General of the OUI-IOHE, Dr. Patricia Gudiño, and Representatives from the Regional Vice Presidency of Canada for the organization, will be actively participating in the conference.

El Buró Canadiense de Educación Internacional ha finalizado la selección de las instituciones que serán parte de la primera misión del Proyecto de Líderes Emergentes de América Latina y El Caribe. Participarán en total 34 instituciones de 21 países de la región, en un esfuerzo de inclusión y participación representativa de la diversidad de naciones que la integran. Los organizadores ya han establecido los contactos institucionales con cada participante seleccionado para esta primera misión con el fin de realizar todos los trámites necesarios.
Durante la misión de colaboración se visitará a Toronto, Winnipeg, Edmonton y Vancouver, donde los “campeones” podrán conocer distintas universidades y autoridades de gobierno. Este será el escenario en el cual se iniciarán los acuerdos de colaboración para favorecer la movilidad de los “líderes” que accederán a la 1600 becas que el Gobierno ofrece.
La misión inicia con la Conferencia del Buró (CBIE), a realizarse en Toronto los días 9 y 10 de noviembre tratará la importante temática de la “Efectividad de la Internacionalización: estrategias para el éxito”. Ver sitio del evento.

Tanto la Secretaria General de la OUI, Patricia Gudiño como representantes de la Vicepresidencia Regional Canadá, participaran activamente  acompañarán a la misión.
