style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Specifically, the Inter-American School of Higher Education (ESIES) seeks to:<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Contribute to the training of researchers in the field of higher education, promoting the development of advanced and associative research on socially relevant issues for the development of higher education in the Americas.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Strengthen strategic areas in doctoral and post-doctoral training in higher education.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Produce advanced knowledge that supports decision-making in key areas for the development of higher education.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To implement a common space for inter-institutional collaboration and exchange that promotes the internationalization of studies and research in higher education.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<strong>The training offered by ESIES is intended for:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">PhD students or postdoctoral fellows with research interests in the field of higher education.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Early-career researchers (within 5 years of obtaining their doctorate) with research interests in higher education.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<strong>Upon completing the ESIES program, participants will be able to:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Apply cutting-edge knowledge and a critical analysis of information in higher education.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Adapt and apply this knowledge to the diverse cultural, linguistic, and institutional contexts across the Americas.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Communicate research and innovation findings in higher education clearly and effectively.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Enhance academic collaboration and In this role, he is responsible for training programs on higher education within his institution. He is also a founding co-member and director of the Interdisciplinary Research Laboratory on Higher Education, the largest group of researchers in higher education in the Francophone world. With LIRES, he co-organized in 2019 the first Doctoral School on Higher Education at the University of Montreal. His research focuses on the internationalization of higher education, international competitive dynamics, and transformations of the academic profession. She is currently a tenured professor at the Faculty of Education Sciences of the University of Playa Ancha and a researcher at the Inter-University Institute for Educational Research (IESED-Chile) in the area of Higher Education policies, where she has several publications and has coordinated national and international projects. She is part of the faculty of the consortium Ph.D. program in Education of the University of Playa Ancha, University of Los Lagos, and University of Antofagasta in Chile and integrates the council and core of the Master&#8217;s Program in Management and Leadership of Educational Organizations. His research areas are fundamentally oriented towards the field of political theory, cultural changes, public policies, and transformations in citizenship and participation. His research lines are: &#8220;Sociology of the University&#8221;, &#8220;Actors and Policies of Higher Education&#8221; and &#8220;Production and Mobilization of Knowledge&#8221;. He holds a Doctorate in Education and a Master&#8217;s in Quality and Improvement of Education from the Universidad Aut\u00f3noma de Madrid; he is an expert in Conflict Mediation in educational settings from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. He is also a teaching expert in state-subsidized private schools from Universidad Pontificia de Comillas. He earned his Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Education from the Universidad Cat\u00f3lica Santo Domingo. His research career focuses on School Effectiveness, Teacher Effectiveness, and School Leadership. He is the author of several scientific articles in this field. He is a member of the Ibero-American Research Network for the Development of Professional Teacher Identity. She completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Didactics of Higher Education at the Sorbonne Paris V University and the University of Montreal, Quebec, Canada. She is currently a full professor at the Faculty of Education of the Federal University of Bahia and a researcher at the Interdisciplinary Research Laboratory on Higher Education (LIRES) at the University of Montreal. She is also a productivity researcher for the National Research Council of Brazil (CNPq). Scientific Director of the National Association of Didactics and Teaching Practices (ANDIPE). She has published eighteen books in the field of education. She is a permanent professor in the Postgraduate Program of the Faculty of Education of the UFBA, where she served as vice-coordinator from 2019 to 2021. He teaches quantitative methods and learning assessment. His research interests include the development and teaching of statistics and psychometrics, academic integrity, and learning assessment in arts programs at the post-secondary level. He completed his Bachelor&#8217;s degree in Political Science at the University of Costa Rica, where he has worked since 2005 as a professor and researcher. He has held executive positions at the University of Costa Rica (Vice-Rector of Teaching, Academic Secretary, Director of the Center for Research and Political Studies) and high-responsibility positions in international organizations (Program Officer for the United Nations Development Program UNDP). He has been a consultant to international organizations such as the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), UNDP, the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences (FLACSO) and national organizations such as the Estado de la Naci\u00f3n Program (PEN). He has published several books, scientific articles, book chapters and opinion articles on national politics, the State, development, democracy, public opinion studies, environmental policy and water management.
