This commitment focuses on three key areas:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Promoting collaborative training and research activities on shared priorities.<\/li>\n<li>Developing regional initiatives to advance the SDGs.<\/li>\n<li>Creating forums to reflect on higher education&#8217;s critical role in SDG implementation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>During the October 2024 IOHE General Assembly, members approved a new institutional SDG project to launch targeted initiatives. Key among these is IOHE&#8217;s pledge to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Build HEI capacity for SDG achievement (including a training needs assessment completed in April 2025).<\/li>\n<li>Issue this open call to members for SDG-focused training programs.<\/li>\n<li>Promote priority opportunities through its\u00a0<em>Collaborative Classroom <\/em>platform<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In this context, IOHE calls on all its members to share <strong>training activities<\/strong> aimed at:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Targets HEIs&#8217; most pressing SDG training needs.<\/li>\n<li>Seeks proven programs (courses\/workshops) ready for delivery.<\/li>\n<li>Offers IOHE-wide visibility for selected offerings.<\/li>\n<li>Encourages cross-institutional collaboration.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>HEIs are invited to submit existing training programs that address the identified SDG capacity gaps. Selected programs will be featured across OUI communication channels.<\/p>\n<p>Why Participate?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Amplify your institution&#8217;s SDG contributions<\/li>\n<li>Connect with 400+ HEIs across the Americas<\/li>\n<li>Strengthen regional impact through shared learning<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Deadline: <\/em>September 28, 2025, at 11:59 PM Eastern Daylight Time (UTC -4)][\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h3><strong>2. <\/strong><strong>Scope of the Call for Proposals<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Consistent with OUI&#8217;s mission to strengthen HEIs by building collaborative educational spaces with its members and strategic partners, this call has three main objectives:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Support capacity building <\/strong>among member institutions to contribute to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Promote dissemination and access <\/strong>to training activities on SDGs in areas of common interest.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Encourage collaboration <\/strong>among members by sharing training activities that facilitate the exchange of approaches and experiences for SDG implementation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h3><strong>3. <\/strong><strong>Eligibility Criteria<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>3.1<\/strong> The call is open to all regular IOHE members.<a href=\"#_ftn1\" name=\"_ftnref1\"><sup>[1]<\/sup><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>3.2<\/strong> Training activities must address at least one of the capacity-building needs identified in IOHE&#8217;s survey on SDG implementation support, specifically:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strategies for institutional SDG integration<\/li>\n<li>Sustainability innovation in higher education<\/li>\n<li>Design, evaluation and monitoring of SDG progress indicators<\/li>\n<li>University social responsibility<\/li>\n<li>Ethical leadership and governance for sustainable development<\/li>\n<li>Financial management for sustainability projects<\/li>\n<li>Sustainability communication strategies and tools<\/li>\n<li>Change management for sustainability implementation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>3.3<\/strong> The training activities may be delivered in virtual, in-person, or hybrid format, under the following categories:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Courses or modules<\/li>\n<li>Seminars or workshops<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>3.4<\/strong> Experience requirement:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Activities must have been delivered at least once prior to application<\/li>\n<li>Activities still in design phase or never delivered are ineligible<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>3.5 <\/strong>Activities may be delivered in any IOHE official language (Spanish, Portuguese, French, English)<\/p>\n<p><strong>3.6 <\/strong>Training activities may be offered free of charge or require participant fees. Application Process<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The call will be conducted in two stages:<\/p>\n<p><strong>4.1 Submission of Training Activity Description (Stage 1)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\" style=\"margin: 0cm; background: white;\"><span style=\"font-family: 'Segoe UI',sans-serif; color: #404040;\">This stage will select activities addressing identified training needs and themes:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Interested HEIs must submit their training activity description through the online form below, including:\n<ul>\n<li>Activity name<\/li>\n<li>Schedule<\/li>\n<li>Competencies developed<\/li>\n<li>Specific SDG-related issues addressed<\/li>\n<li>Contributions to SDG advancement<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>Applications must be submitted via this electronic form by\u00a0<strong>September 28 at 11:59 PM EST (UTC-4)<\/strong>:<br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSeD32kP97NMm1e1jA3D3zaztrF3X2cZ75ZLwIV1D92v4vKB6w\/viewform?usp=dialogv\">https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/e\/1FAIpQLSeD32kP97NMm1e1jA3D3zaztrF3X2cZ75ZLwIV1D92v4vKB6w\/viewform?usp=dialogv<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>Submissions after this deadline will not be accepted.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>4.2 Publication of Training Activities (Stage 2)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This stage will select a limited number of activities for IOHE-wide promotion:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Offering HEIs must complete all required activity information.<\/li>\n<li>IOHE will publish and promote selected activities through its various platforms.<\/li>\n<li>Activities must begin by Q1 2026 at the latest.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text css=&#8221;&#8221;]<\/p>\n<h3><strong>5. <\/strong><strong>Institutional Requirements<\/strong><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Proposals may be submitted by a single IOHE member or a team (the lead applicant must be an IOHE member).
