The opening session of the module featured welcoming words from Dr. Leticia Jim\u00e9nez, Academic Director of the OUI, who also introduced the academic team made up of the tutors: Mtra. Lynda Karen V\u00e1zquez Maldonado, the Mtra. Ximena Cardoso Arango and Dr. Norma Ang\u00e9lica Ju\u00e1rez Salomo, and Dr. Gabriela Andrea Narv\u00e1ez, Academic Coordinator of the OUI Virtual Classroom.<\/p>\n
Throughout the session, the tutors provided an introduction to the concept, objectives and evolution of internationalization and its strategic planning at the higher level.<\/p>\n
This first module of the Diploma in Internationalization of Higher Education allows participants to develop management and planning skills in internationalization, two fundamental skills since “there is not a single internationalization model, each institution is different, it has a different level of development and therefore internationalization has to be pragmatic\u2026 We must seek to implement it based on the strengths of each institution\u201d, highlighted La Mtra. Vazquez.<\/p>\n
Participating in the module are 35 directors and teachers from 23 higher education institutions from Argentina, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, El Salvador, Mexico, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic.<\/p>\n
The Diploma in Internationalization of Higher Education has three modules:<\/p>\n
