{"id":12056,"date":"2022-05-19T17:33:00","date_gmt":"2022-05-19T21:33:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/oui-iohe.org\/coloquio-lanzamiento-quebec-chile\/"},"modified":"2022-06-07T18:59:53","modified_gmt":"2022-06-07T22:59:53","slug":"colloquium-launch-quebec-chile","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/oui-iohe.org\/en\/colloquium-launch-quebec-chile\/","title":{"rendered":"The Colloquium to Launch the Project \u201cExperiences in Quality Assurance in Higher Education in Quebec and Chile\u201d was held"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The event was attended by nearly 200 academics from 85 IOHE member institutions in 16 countries.<\/p>\n<p>This colloquium was performed as part of the project <strong>\u201cExperiences in Quality Assurance in Higher Education in Quebec and Chile\u201d<\/strong>, and will be carried out in collaboration with the Inter-American Organization for Higher Education (IOHE), the\u00a0<em>Instituto\u00a0<\/em><em>Interuniversitario de Investigaci\u00f3n Educativa (<\/em>Interuniversity Institute for Educational Research) (IESED\u2013Chile), the\u00a0<em>Conseil sup\u00e9rieur de l\u2019\u00e9ducation\u00a0<\/em>(Higher Council of Education) (CSE) and the\u00a0<em>Consorcio de Universidades del Estado de Chile\u00a0<\/em>(Consortium of State Universities of Chile) (CUECH), with the financial support of the\u00a0<em>Minist\u00e8re des Relations internationales et de la Francophonie du Qu\u00e9bec\u00a0<\/em>(MRIF).<\/p>\n<p>The event had two panels: The first, &#8220;Policies for Quality Assurance in Higher Education. The role of the Agencies for Evaluation.&#8221; was moderated by Alejandra Contreras Altman, Executive Director of the Consortium of State Universities of Chile (CUECH) and It was made up of Dr. Andr\u00e9s Bernasconi Ram\u00edrez, President of the National Accreditation Commission, CNA-Chile, and Monsieur Denis Rousseau, President of the Commission d&#8217;\u00e9valuation de l&#8217;enseignement coll\u00e9gial de Qu\u00e9bec.<\/p>\n<p>In the second panel, called &#8220;Quality Assurance in Higher Education in Quebec and Chile<strong>.<\/strong>&#8220;, Dr. Claude Mailhot, Professor at the University of Montr\u00e9al and Dr. Mar\u00eda Jacqueline Rojas, Researcher at the Universidad de Playa Ancha and IESED-Chile and the questions were moderated by Dr. Daniel L\u00f3pez Stefoni, General Director of IESED-Chile.<\/p>\n<p>Madame Maryse Lassonde participated in the closing of the colloquium. Principales avances, resultados y hallazgos<\/a>, Jacqueline Rojas Universidad de Playa Ancha Instituto Interuniversitario de Investigaci\u00f3n en Educaci\u00f3n (IESED-CHILE)<\/li>\n<li>Presentation | <a href=\"https:\/\/oui-iohe.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/06\/Presentation_Fernando-Daniels-FR.pdf\">Exp\u00e9riences d\u2019&#8217;assurance de la qualit\u00e9 dans l&#8217;enseignement sup\u00e9rieur au Qu\u00e9bec et au Chili<\/a>, Fernando Daniels<br \/>\nDirecteur de la planification et du d\u00e9veloppement OUI<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>*<\/p>\n<p>The project \u00abQuality Assurance Experiences in Higher Education in Quebec and Chile\u00bb is supported by the Minist\u00e8re des Relations internationales et de la Francophonie du Qu\u00e9bec (MRIF) and seeks to deepen the knowledge and Exchange of experiences between Quebec and Chile concerning quality assurance in higher education.<\/p>\n<p>The main objective of this project is to share experiences and good practices on the quality assurance systems in higher education in both countries.<\/p>\n<p>The specific aims are:\u00a0<strong>(1)<\/strong>\u00a0To know the functioning of the quality assurance systems implemented in higher education institutions (HEIs) in Quebec and Chile;\u00a0<strong>(2)<\/strong>\u00a0to identify successful experiences and good practices in the implementation of those systems; and\u00a0<strong>(3)<\/strong>\u00a0to recognize the factors of success of such experiences that could serve as a benchmark for the development of institutional and\/or sectorial policies in this field.<\/p>\n<p>This project will facilitate the two countries to create an\u00a0<strong>Academic Forum on higher education quality<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The project is led by the following organizations in Quebec and Chile:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/oui-iohe.org\/eng\/\">Inter-American Organization for Higher Education (IOHE)<\/a><\/strong>, the main association of higher education institutions in the Americas. It has 18 members in Quebec and 24 in Chile;<\/li>\n<li>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cse.gouv.qc.ca\/\"><strong><em>Conseil sup\u00e9rieur de l\u2019\u00e9ducation<\/em>\u00a0(Higher Council of Education) (CSE)<\/strong><\/a>, from Quebec, an advisory organization of The Ministry of Education and Higher Education of Quebec dealing with the condition and needs of education in the province;<\/li>\n<li>The\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/esed.cl\/\"><strong><em>Instituto Interuniversitario de Investigaci\u00f3n Educativa\u00a0<\/em>(Inter-university Institute for Educational Research) (IESED)<\/strong><\/a>, a a consortium made up of 11 public universities in Chile and the \u201cPrograma Interdisciplinario de Investigaci\u00f3n en Educaci\u00f3n (PIIE)\u201d, with the aim of promoting educational research; and<\/li>\n<li>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.uestatales.cl\/cue\/\"><strong><em>Consorcio de Universidades del Estado de\u00a0<\/em>Chile (Consortium of State Universities of Chile) (CUECH)<\/strong><\/a>, a consortium of 18 state universities aimed to support the development of public universities in the country.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The event was attended by nearly 200 academics from 85 IOHE member institutions in 16 countries.
