Within the framework of the call for “Collaborative University Research on the Application of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals”, launched by the Inter-American Organization for Higher Education (IOHE), in 2022, the second webinar of the series was held with the selected projects. and international experts in this field.<\/em><\/p>\n

On June 16, in the webinar “Economic valuation of biodiversity: the crossroads of sustainability and globalization” we were accompanied by Dr. Luis Humberto Villwock, Coordinator of Celeiro AgroHub, from the Pontificia Universidade Cat\u00f3lica do Rio Grande do Sul ( Brazil), with the Conference “Challenges of Sustainability Innovation in Agribusiness: An Agenda to Share”.

On this occasion, the discussion panel included the participation of the following representatives of three other projects financed by the IOHE:<\/p>\n

Clara E. Santaf\u00e9 Mill\u00e1n, Universidad del Bosque (Colombia). Project \u201cEconomic and conservation strategies in the rural and wild sector in Colombia. Phase: Design of protocols for the management of productive projects for the nature tourism sector.\u201d<\/p>\n

Dora Esther Faria, National University of the Northeast (Argentina). \u201cRight to food and sustainable rural development: biodiversity and the defense of the rights of peasants in Argentina and Brazil.\u201d<\/p>\n

Marco Antonio Mar\u00edn Castro, Meritorious Autonomous University of Puebla (Mexico). Project “Sustainable management and rescue of traditional knowledge of edible mushrooms from Malinche National Park, Puebla, as a contribution to achieving food security and combating poverty.”<\/p>\n
