The Regional Vice Presidency for Mexico of the Inter-American Organization for Higher Education (IOHE) celebrated the Fortieth Anniversary of the Institute of Management and University Leadership (IGLU).<\/em><\/p>\n

The celebration consisted of a special day of activities that took place on June 29, 2023, in the Hall of the General University Council of the Universidad de Guanajuato and which was called Trajectory, Challenges, Horizons.<\/p>\n

In the opening ceremony participated Dr. Leticia Jim\u00e9nez, IOHE Academic Director , Dr. Martha Aguilar Trejo, President of Universidad de Celaya and President of the Comisi\u00f3n Estatal para la Planeaci\u00f3n de la Educaci\u00f3n Superior, A.C., Dr. Salom\u00f3n Amkie Cheirif, Director of Institutional Relations of Santander Universidades and of Universia M\u00e9xico, Dr. Luis Armando Gonz\u00e1lez Placencia, General Director of ANUIES,Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino, Rector General of the Universidad de Guanajuato and outgoing Vice President of the IOHE Mexico Region.<\/p>\n

Merit awards were given to the trajectory of IGLU in Mexico to:<\/p>\n

\n2. mtra. Ma. Teresa Betancourt Maldonado
\n3. Dr. Leticia Jimenez
\n4. Dr. Pierre Cazalis (Virtual Participation)
\n5. Master Juan Carlos Romero Hicks
\n6. Santander Universidades<\/p>\n

The Conversation “Leadership from experience: realities, challenges and future projection in Higher Education” was held, in which the following participated: Fr. Lic. Francisco Ram\u00edrez Y\u00e1\u00f1ez, President of Sistema UNIVA;\u00a0 Dr. Christian Jorge Torres Ortiz Zerme\u00f1o, President of Universidad de Colima; Dr. Luis Armando Gonz\u00e1lez Placencia; Executive director of ANUIES and Former President of Universidad de Tlaxcala; Dr. Luis Felipe Guerrero Agripino, President of Universidad de Guanajuato and Vicepresident\u00a0 of Mexico Region, and as y\u00a0 moderator Dr. Leticia Jim\u00e9nez, IOHE Academic Director.<\/p>\n

The Master Conference: “Current and Future Challenges of Higher Education” was given by Mtro. Juan Carlos Romero Hicks, IOHE Honorary President.<\/p>\n

Subsequently, and with the moderation of Maestra Priscila \u00c1lvarez Guti\u00e9rrez, General Director of Human Resources ofUniversidad de Colima, the Panel “IGLU Contribution to the educational transformation in Mexico: Winners of the Gilles Boulet Award” was held, in which the following participated: Dr. Fernando Javier G\u00f3mez Triana, Postgraduate Professor at the UANL Faculty of Psychology; Dr. Yanet Romero Fern\u00e1ndez, Director of Higher Education, UNIVA; and Eng. Ricardo Silva Echeverr\u00eda, Universidad de Colima.<\/p>\n

The second Panel of the day, “Vision: Beyond the limits: Collaborators and members of the Academic Committee of IGLU M\u00e9xico”, was made up of: Dr. Esperanza Mart\u00ednez Cano, Academic Secretary of the Faculty of Engineering and full-time professor from the Universidad Aut\u00f3noma de Tamaulipas; Dr. Francis Palacio Soto, Former Head of the Administrative Economic Sciences Area, UNIVA; Dr. V\u00edctor Manuel Castillo Gir\u00f3n, Director of the Division of Universidad de Guadalajara and Dr. Salvador Hern\u00e1ndez Castro Secretary of Management and Development of UG who had the role of moderator.<\/p>\n

Finally, the conclusions and closing were in charge of Dr. Leticia Jim\u00e9nez, Academic Director of the OUI and the event culminated with a Cocktail with the accompaniment of the Choir of the University of Guanajuato in the Jesuit Patio of the Central Building.<\/p>\n
