Dr. Leticia Jim\u00e9nez, Academic Director of the IOHE, was on mission in El Salvador presenting the organization to various institutions in that country, inviting its directors to participate in the Congress of the Americas on International Education (CAEI) and giving the workshop. Strengthening the organizational culture for change.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

UCA Rectors Meeting<\/strong><\/p>\n

September 27, 2023<\/strong><\/p>\n

An information meeting of the Inter-American Organization for Higher Education (IOHE) was held on September 27 at the Universidad Centroamericana Jos\u00e9 Sime\u00f3n Ca\u00f1as (UCA), in which Dr. Leticia Jim\u00e9nez, Academic Director of the OUI, spoke about the portfolio of activities offered and about the event coming up, the Congress of the Americas on International Education (CAEI) that will be held in Las Vegas on November 6, 7 and 8, 2023.<\/p>\n

Around 15 institutions from El Salvador attended, including: the Universidad de Oriente, Universidad Dr. Andr\u00e9s Bello, Universidad Polit\u00e9cnica de El Salvador, Universidad Salvadore\u00f1a Alberto Masferrer, Universidad Modular Abierta, Universidad Centroamericana Jos\u00e9 Sime\u00f3n Ca\u00f1as, Escuela de Comunicaci\u00f3n M\u00f3nica Herrera, Albert Einstein University, Francisca Esfe-Agape Higher School, Technological Institute Technical School for Health, Specialized Higher Level Institute, Specialized School of Engineering, Nueva San Salvador University and the Higher School of Business and Economics.<\/p>\n

Workshop \u201cStrengthening organizational culture for change\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

September 28 and 29, 2023<\/strong><\/p>\n

Dr. Leticia Jim\u00e9nez, Academic Director of the Inter-American Organization for Higher Education (IOHE) , gave the Workshop \u201cStrengthening the organizational culture for change\u201d to managers, teachers and administrative staff of the Open Modular University (UMA), belonging to the Center’s headquarters. Regional of Santa Ana, where 60 people attended, Regional Center of Sonsonate, 75 people attended and at the San Salvador headquarters, 30 people attended.<\/p>\n

In the Workshop, topics related to changing and strengthening the culture of institutions were addressed, with the aim of changing the thinking of work teams to improve and encourage them to look at other paths.<\/p>\n

International Congress \u201cEducation and Innovation\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n

September 30, 2023<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Open Modular University (UMA) developed the First International Congress \u201cEducation and Innovation\u201d, the event began with the welcoming words of the Rector of the institution, Dr. Judith Mendoza, who thanked all the participants for their attendance.<\/p>\n

Subsequently, Dr. Leticia Jim\u00e9nez, Academic Director of the Inter-American University Organization (OUI) gave the Master Conference \u201cHybrid learning, a space for educational innovation in HEIs\u201d, where she addressed some important topics such as innovation, the pillars of change in institutions and hybrid models.<\/p>\n

Likewise, she participated in the Panel \u201cEducational innovations towards 2030, unavoidable challenges to address\u201d, where topics related to technology were developed, which add up to improving education.<\/p>\n

Around 300 people attended and speakers from different countries such as Argentina, Mexico, Colombia, Costa Rica and El Salvador participated, who spoke about digital education in times of artificial intelligence: opportunities and challenges in the 21st century classroom, innovation in education in the 21st century and education and internalization.<\/p>\n
