The presential session was held as part of the First Course of the Institute of University Management and Leadership in Higher Education (IGLU-EMS Course).<\/em><\/p>\n

On March 17, 18 and 19, Dr. Leticia Jim\u00e9nez, Academic Director of the Inter-American Organization for Higher Education (IOHE), gave a face-to-face session at the facilities of the Universidad de Guanajuato’s Colegio de Nivel Medio Superior (CNMS) in Mexico, which is part of the First Course of the Institute for University Management and Leadership in Higher Education (IGLU-EMS Course).<\/p>\n

This program is aimed at managers and teams that make up the CNMS management team and aims to enhance management skills and boost the ability to respond to the competitive demands of this educational sector so that participants can lead with vision the consolidation of institutional objectives.<\/p>\n

The event began on March 17 with a welcome message and inauguration by Dr. Claudia Susana G\u00f3mez L\u00f3pez, General President of the University of Guanajuato, followed by a few words from Dr. Juan Antonio S\u00e1nchez M\u00e1rquez, Director of the CNMS. Afterwards, Dr. Jim\u00e9nez presented the structure and methodology of the IGLU-EMS Course and introduced the round table discussion: \u201cWhat is this thing called leadership?\u201d, where the main challenges of leadership in higher secondary education were addressed.<\/p>\n

On March 18, participants attended the conference \u201cAssertive and effective communication\u201d, complemented with a practical dynamic to strengthen their interaction skills. In the afternoon, Dr. Jim\u00e9nez addressed the importance of teamwork, concluding with an activity to reinforce collaboration among the participants.<\/p>\n

The course concluded on March 19 with the session \u201cInnovative Project\u201d, given by Dr. Leticia Jim\u00e9nez and Dr. Francis Palacio, academic tutor of the course. In this last session, participants explored strategies for the management and development of innovative projects in their educational institutions. In addition, an exercise of approximation and perspective was carried out, oriented to the application of the acquired learning.<\/p>\n

Twenty-six directors, academic secretaries, general and administrative coordinators, as well as secretaries of the CNMS and of the Universidad de Guanajuato’s middle schools, representing the campuses of Celaya, Irapuato, Morole\u00f3n, P\u00e9njamo, Salamanca, Salvatierra, San Luis de la Paz and Silao, participated in these activities.<\/p>\n
