The \u00c9cole de technologie sup\u00e9rieure<\/em>\u00a0(\u00c9TS), the\u00a0Inter-American Organization for Higher Education (IOHE),\u00a0<\/strong>College of the Americas \u2013 COLAM and the International Conference of Knowledge and Innovation – CIKI are pleased to invite Higher Education Institutions of the Americas to participate as a \u201clocal Institution<\/strong>\u201d in the 9th<\/sup> edition of the 24 Hours of Innovation Competition<\/strong>, which will be held from May 24th<\/sup> to 25th<\/sup>, 2016.<\/strong><\/p>\n

24 Hours of Innovation <\/em><\/strong>is an international competition which takes place in the space of 24 hours, according to the format \u201cInnovation Rally\u201d (rapid or sudden challenge project). The competition was created by J\u00e9r\u00e9my Legardeur and his team at the Institute of Advanced Industrial Technology (ESTIA), in France<\/em>, (www.24h.estia.fr<\/a>) and is held every year in France (October) and in Canada (May). The Canadian edition is coordinated by the \u00c9cole de technologie sup\u00e9rieure (ETS)<\/em> in Montreal:<\/p>\n

The 9th<\/sup> edition of Montreal\u2019s 24 hours of Innovation will take place from March 24th<\/sup> to 25th<\/sup>, 2016, from 9:00AM, the 24th<\/sup>, Eastern Canadian Time (UTC\/GMT \u2013 5 hours)<\/strong>. The event will begin with a virtual conference (via Webex<\/em>), in which the conditions of the competition will be specified. The teams will then have 23 hours to develop their project and to present it in the form of a YouTube video with the duration of two (2) minutes.<\/p>\n
