Arturo Velásquez Jiménez, General Director of the Instituto Latinoamericano de Comunicación Educativa (Mexico) and the Dr. Ester Souto Galván, of the Universidad Nacional de Educación Distancia (UNED – Spain), Dr. Julien spoke during the panel “Internationalization of distance learning programs“.

This exchange helped remember the role played by the IOHE as an inter-American leader and strategic ally of Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in order to help them consolidate their role as a driving force for social change by promoting the knowledge-based society on the American continent and beyond.

This seminar was also an opportunity for the IOHE to present its training and online activities for higher education leaders in the Americas, such as the online courses of the Institute for Management of University Leadership (IGLU). This event also helped think about a strategy for formal recognition of the Organization’s programs within HEIs, as well as virtual student mobility mechanisms within the Virtual Mobility Space in Higher Education (eMOVIES), most recent IOHE pilot project.

Dr. Julien was able to share his vision of the internationalization of higher education and reinforce the links with many of the local actors present on site.

For more information on IOHE programs, visit: http://www.oui-iohe.org/

Acapulco, Mexico, 21 September 2018 – At the invitation of Dr. José Gerador Tinoco Ruíz, Rector of the Universidad […]

[180

post-478","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-highlights
["GET
