International in Environmental Sciences &#8220;Environmental Sciences in the Anthropocene&#8221;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Inter-American Organization for Higher Education supports the National Congress of Environmental Sciences, an event that the <em>Red Colombiana de Formaci\u00f3n Ambiental<\/em> holds every two years in collaboration with the <em>Universidad de Ciencias Aplicadas y Ambientales U.D.C.A<\/em><\/p>\n<p>This congress has brought together more than 980 students, professionals, academics and researchers interested in contributing to the development and epistemological consolidation of Environmental Sciences, based on reflection on paradigms, their objects of study, methods and challenges in the face of new realities. .<\/p>\n<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-56d9546 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"56d9546\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n<p class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">This Congress seeks to:<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d45700c elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"d45700c\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n<div class=\"elementor-text-editor elementor-clearfix\">\n<ol>\n<li>Be a space for discussion on environmental situations from perspectives ranging from global concerns, to detailed case studies; including research and works with social, technical, practical and applied works and views.<\/li>\n<li>Bring together leading academic leaders, researchers and students to exchange and share their experiences and research results in all aspects of Environmental Sciences.<\/li>\n<li>Provide a world-class interdisciplinary platform for researchers, professionals, students and educators to present and discuss the latest innovations, trends and concerns in the field of Environmental Sciences, as well as the practical challenges encountered and the solutions proposed and adopted.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The central theme of the congress is &#8220;Environmental sciences in the Anthropocene&#8221;, taking into account that the scale and intensity of human interactions with Earth&#8217;s systems have accelerated in recent decades. Changes in physical, biological and chemical processes in soils and water are the result of human activities such as urban development, industrialization, agriculture and mining, among others.<\/p>\n<p>Human-induced changes to the Earth&#8217;s surface, oceans, cryosphere, ecosystems, and climate are so great and rapid that the proposal for a new geological epoch, the Anthropocene, has emerged.
