Geneva, Switzerland, September 14, 2018 – Once again, the Inter-American Organization for Higher Education (IOHE) took part in the Annual European Association for International Education (EAIE) Conference and Exhibition that came to an end on September 14.

The 30th edition of this annual conference was Europe’s premier meeting point for international educators. This year’s theme, “Facing Outward”, stimulated the conversation on common issues as well as the challenges that Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) are facing at an international level.

This event invites organizations such as EAIE and IOHE to face outward into the world, join forces with those who share their vision and engage with those who may have differing view. IOHE also took part to the bi-annual Network of International Education Associations (NIEA) meeting along with sister organizations from all continents.

The EAIE is the European center for expertise, networking and resources in the internationalisation of higher education. The Conference of the Americas on International Education (CAIE) stands as a counterpart of this great gathering across the Americas bringing together all countries in the region, from Canada to Patagonia, every two years, and thus offering European countries and others a unique platform to develop connections between North, Central and South Americas and the Caribbean”, said Dr. David Julien, CAIE Executive Director.

The IOHE could not miss this opportunity to enlarge its network with more than 5500 higher education professionals from 95 countries and to promote the Sixth edition of the CAIE which will take place in October 2019, in Bogota (Colombia). Interested parties will be invited to submit their proposals as soon as October 23, 2018.
