Internationalization of the Curriculum Module: a connective approach of the 12th edition of the Diploma in Internationalization of Higher Education (DIES)

The opening of the conference featured welcoming remarks from Dr. David Julien, OUI Executive Secretary General, and Dr. Leticia Jiménez, OUI Academic Director, who also introduced the speaker to Dr. Gerardo Blanco, Academic Director of the Center for International Higher Education at Boston College and Member of the IOHE Advisory Council.

Throughout the session, the speaker addressed definitions, characteristics and a model of internationalization of the curriculum from a look at practice from research, leaving a space for reflection to the participants. He ended with a question and answer session where the participants extended their comments and thanks for the excellent presentation. Finally, the closing and farewell by Dr. Jiménez.

This third module of the Diploma in Internationalization of Higher Education allows participants to design strategies for incorporating the international dimension into the curriculum from a connective approach.

32 directors and teachers from Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Chile, Cuba, Ecuador, El Salvador, Mexico, Peru and the Dominican Republic participate in the module.

The Diploma in Internationalization of Higher Education has three modules:

-Strategies for Academic Mobility

-Internationalization of the Curriculum: a connective approach
