The workshop untitled “Appreciative Inquiry and Design of the Internationalization” of the Institute for University Leadership and Management (IGLU) – one of the three Inter-American Organization for Higher Education (IOHE) programs – was held on February 25, 2016 at the Inter-American University of Puerto Rico, campus Arecibo.

The activity was attended by 57 participants, among Presidents, Associate Vice-Presidents, Deans, Directors, Coordinators, Teachers, students and administrative staff. In addition, three countries of the Americas were represented: Brazil, Colombia, and Puerto Rico

The workshop was conducted by the Dr. Miguel Escala, Executive Director of the IGLU, who addressed the topic of Appreciative inquiry in higher education, which is a tool, a methodology, and even a philosophy to design and achieve the transformations that universities need to conform to the 21st century and the demands of internationalization.

This seminar was a sequence of initiative developed by Dr. Escala in Dominican Republic in 2015, in charge of Dr. Joan McArthur-Blair, the first of its kind in Latin America.
