The event began with a welcome from Dr. Leticia Jiménez, IOHE Academic Director, who made an introduction to it and introduced the speaker, Dr. Eduardo Giugliani, PIFGAI Coordinator.

Dr. Giugliani shared with the participants how digital transformation has taken place over the years, moving from knowledge to innovation. In his presentation, he provided an overview of the past and present, taking a tour of the progress we have made on the subject and later spoke about the future perspective.

The lecturer highlighted that “today’s society is much more characterized by knowledge and relationships and no longer by capital, commodities or the labor aspect. And this knowledge is the main production factor of the new economy, so we must be able to adapt. ”

In the second part of the event, organized by Dr. Gabriela Narvaez, Academic Coordinator of the IOHE Virtual Classroom, the program was presented.

The Inter-American Training Program in Management of Innovation Environments aims to contribute to the development of the economy and the knowledge society from a pragmatic approach, generating capacities for leadership, management and strategic management of innovation environments, to contribute to the realization of a correct diagnosis, design and planning of an innovation habitat, which is an important engine of urban and regional economic growth.

The expert designers of each of the modules took the floor to explain the objective, themes and activities of each stage of the PIFGAI.
