The central theme of CAEI-2025 was “Transforming Knowledge into Development,” which implies the transition from centralized knowledge toward the universalization of science as an element of social transformation and human development. This theme invites the ongoing reconceptualization of education and research as generators of knowledge and catalysts for innovation, leading to more intercultural societies with environmental, economic, political, and social development that is both sustainable and resilient.
Academic Program
CAEI-2025 Costa Rica invited higher education institutions (HEIs), professionals in international education, academics and researchers, representatives of the central and local governments, as well as civil society, to participate and submit their session proposals, recognizing that each of these contributions represents, at the national and international levels, progress toward better multi- and interdisciplinary educational practices, more internationalized and inclusive education systems, as well as international and inter-institutional collaboration and adaptation in line with current trends and challenges in the context of higher education.
The selected proposals were developed by groups of professionals from diverse academic, professional, cultural, and geographic backgrounds, fostering the sharing and transformation of knowledge to advance reflective discourse.
