Joint Scholarships Universidade do Oeste de Santa Catarina - Inter-American Organization for Higher Education (IOHE)
The Universidade do Oeste de Santa Catarina (UNOESC), Brazil, and the Inter-American Organization for Higher Education (IOHE) are offering IOHE members who are up to date with their statutory obligations 8 Master’s and Doctoral Scholarships for the second semester of 2025 in the following Stricto sensu, on-site programs in Portuguese offered by UNOESC.
Academic Offering
- Master’s in Administration (1 scholarship)
- Master’s in Biosciences and Health (1 scholarship)

- Master’s in Education (1 scholarship)
- Master’s in Animal Health and Production (1 scholarship)
- Doctorate in Administration (1 scholarship)
- Doctorate in Biosciences and Health (1 scholarship)
- Doctorate in Law (1 scholarship)
- Doctorate in Education (1 scholarship)
Characteristics of the scholarship
- The scholarship is aimed at academics, managers, or administrators of IOHE member higher education institutions whose nationality is not Brazilian*.
- The scholarship covers 100% of tuition costs.
- The programs are offered on-site, and a frequency of at least 75% face-to-face attendance is required.
- The monthly cost of housing and food for a single person is estimated at R$2,500.00 (approximately $450 – 500 USD), and the beneficiary is responsible for it.
- Classes are taught in Portuguese. Although the application does not require proof of proficiency in Portuguese, if the beneficiary is interested in improving his/her Portuguese language skills, UNOESC can provide information on external and additional courses.
*Open call only to foreigners who are not Brazilian nationals.
Requirements
Selection Process
The selection process consists of three evaluation phases:
- Complete delivery of all the documents requested in the application, with eliminatory character. It will weigh 30% in the composition of the final grade;
- Evaluation of the curriculum, with grading character. It will weigh 30% in the composition of the final grade;
- Interview, having as objective the research prior to the writing and memory, with grading character. It will weigh 40% in the composition of the final grade.
