Presentation

The 6th edition of the Conference of the Americas on International Education (CAIE) was held from October 23 to 25, 2019 in Bogotá, Colombia.

The central theme of the congress was: Poles of knowledge and innovation: Synergies for development.

Speakers

As we look forward, CAIE Colombia-2019 speakers will share their reflection about the human, economic and social processes and the different stakeholders that converge on a given territory. Drawing on local, regional and international experiences, CAIE will set the stage for the development of strategic links and partnerships in order to advance the development of knowledge and innovation hubs in the Americas.

Hubs of Knowledge and Innovation: Synergies for Development

This inaugural plenary session, organized in the form of a discussion panel, will bring together ministers of education and high level representatives from different regions to share with the audience the different ways in which higher education promotes innovation and contributes to building a more equitable and sustainable future.

The Conference of the Americas on International Education (CAIE) offers a series of webinars in each edition and invites the higher education community and representatives from the public and private sectors as well as civil society to participate in discussions focused on innovation and the internationalization of higher education.

This first informative webinar will introduce the work plan of the Executive Secretariat of the CAIE, including the series of thematic webinars that will be organized next year and present an update on the associate membership of CAIE-2019.
