Acting as the Executive Secretariat of the Conference of the Americas on International Education (CAIE), the IOHE collaborates with about thirty international organizations and higher education institutions (HEIs) to organize the only international conference of its kind.

The Conference of the Americas on International Education (CAEI) is the continental forum of excellence that brings together the main actors and decision-makers related to the internationalization of higher education in the Americas to strengthen contacts, exchange experiences, and chart the future of the academic cooperation in the region.

CAEI is organized every two years in a different host country in partnership with national, regional, and international higher education institutions and organizations, offering a platform from which to share emerging challenges and trends, as well as best practices related to international education in the continent.
